Heat Exchangers
Why brazing alloys are used:
- To create leak-tight joints for fluids under pressure and temperature.
- To work with thermally conductive materials such as copper, aluminum, or stainless steel.
- To enable automated, cost-efficient production processes.
Recommended alloys:
- Aluminum-silicon alloys: designed for brazing aluminum heat exchangers.
- Low-silver-content silver alloys: suitable for copper and stainless steel, cost-effective and efficient.
- Copper-phosphorus alloys (Cu-P): widely used for copper tubing.
Why these alloys:
- Metallurgical compatibility and excellent thermal conductivity.
- Allow fast brazing cycles in controlled atmosphere or induction furnaces.
